Abbey
Road
: Sneakily remastered a few years ago (it's mentioned in the small print at the bottom). Our
price $31.00

Beatles Anthologies : Volume's One, Two and Three of the Soundtrack from the Excellent B.B.C. Documentary. Includes studio outakes, alternate versions, songs recorded by the B.B.C. (for their Pop programs) and live tracks. In addition there are the two tracks recorded by the surviving Beatles using Lennon demos. 3 record sets at $39.00 each.
Beatles Number One
:
This Beatles release on heavy duty vinyl with picture inserts and inner
sleeves. Includes 17 Number One singles (Love me do? Never!). A 3 record set
at $39.00.
Beatles for Sale
: The fourth Beatles Album, here remastered in mono. Early stereo Beatle
records were pretty primitive - guitars on the left - voices on the right
- and this "back to mono" gives a much more intergrated sound (particularly
the voice harmonies), but with a broader stereo-like sound spread. U.K. cover
with gatefold. Price $31.00.
A Hard Day's Night
: The third album - the first to consist of entirely self-penned tracks,
and the soundtrack to their first Feature Film. Again, this is also in mono.
Price $31.00
Help
: The fifth album, and, in part, the soundtrack for their second Film.
With tracks such as "Yesterday" and "Help", Lennon and
McCartney's songwriting began to take on a new dimension.$31.00
Let it Be
: The last released Beatle album (recorded before "Abbey Road")
as the soundtrack to the film. Although glued together by producer Phil Spector
(and with some grumbling from the Beatles), there are many supurb songs (in
fact all of them). Price $31.00
Let
it Be Naked : An attempt to return "Let it Be" to
something more like the Beatles original concept of a studio/live album with
all the rough edges, but one suspects someone's enormnous ego got in the way
(and we don't think it was Richard Starkey). Phil Spector's pedestrian string
arrangents have gone, but so have the incidental chat which was the only thing
that gave the original a semi-live quality. Re-arrangements and the inclusion
of John's "Don't let me down" is a bonus. So, slightly rawer, but
still studio bound, but some pretty great songs to start with, and the re-mastered
sound is fantastic. Comes with a bonus 7 " WITH studio chat. on heavy
vinyl in a gatefold sleeve. $32.00
Live at the B.B.C.
: Songs recorded by the B.B.C. from their 60's popular music programs,
and therefore of excellent sound quality. Of interest for those songs of other
writers that the Beatles used in their stage act and were never to record
commercially. A two record gatefold. Price $32.00
Magical Mystery Tour
: The original American release (elswhere this was released as two 7"
e.p.'s), and neatly included the songs from the film along with singles from
the period that had not appeared on the albums ("Strawberry Fields",
"All you need is love", etc.). Comes with the booklet originally
from the 7" release. $39.00
Love : Commissioned by Cirque du Soleil as music for one of their shows, Sir George Martin, in his last work before retirement, along with his son, sliced and diced their way through the Beatles catalogue taking a chord from here, some drumming from there and combining Beatle sounds into an aural landscape - and it works. Not a Beatle album as such (er, except for all the music), but viable work of art that stands alone, and many songs are left untouched - probably Sir George's favourites. Fabulous sound. 2 Records set with booklet in a gatefold cover, and on heavy vinyl. A worthy addition to the Beatle catalogue. $55.00
Past Masters Volumes One and Two
: Many Beatle hits did not appear on the studio albums such was the
extent of their talent - the album tracks were so good, there was no need
of any "filler", so Past Masters brings together these ("Hey
Jude", "Paperback Writer", " Daytripper" - and many
more), plus a few B-sides, E.P. tracks, and oddities ("You know my name,
look up the number" ). Along with the studio albums, and the American
"Magical Mystery" this completes the entire catalogue of studio
releases A two record set in gatefold sleeve. Price
$32.00
Please Please Me
: Raw talent, supurb vocal harmonies, strikingly original songwriting, and
fairly limited lead guitar (sorry George). The first album by the (then) Fab
Four! In mono. Price $31..00
Revolver
: One of the greatest albums of all time (don't bother arguing - I am immoveable).
Price $31.00
Rubber Soul
: Also one of the greatest albums of all time. The Beatles in their Dylan
phase. Price $31.00
Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band
: One of the greatest.......er!. Defined a generation (or at least a small
talented, if stoned part of it) and although it has dated a little (as anything
that defined a generation would), it still brims over with creativity and just
plain bloody good songwriting. Gatefold cover with original insert. Price $31.00
The Beatles (White Album)
: The Beatles in their "Let's sound like everybody else phase"
(and still end up sounding like the Beatles). A two records set, gatefold
sleeve, poster insert and photos. Price $32.00

With the Beatles : The second album, also in mono - soaring harmonies and brimming with early hits. Price $31.00
Yellow Submarine (re-mastered)
: This includes ALL Beatle songs used in the film (the George Martin orchestral
score is dropped). The re-masterings are amazing - anyone who has a mono copy
of Sgt Peppers with its' rich sound and bass - think that, and then think 2000
and you'll get the idea. A must have. Price $31.00
